Los Angeles Young Adult Emergency Relief Fund

An unrestricted grantmaking program for disabled and historically underrepresented young adults pursuing careers in writing and filmmaking in Los Angeles.

The Young Adult Relief Fund was created to support the future of the creative economy in Los Angeles. The 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes and increasing instability in the entertainment industry have derailed opportunities for young disabled creatives, creating a need to ensure the next generation’s voices are heard. The relief fund fulfills this need by providing an emergency backstop to help ensure talented disabled creatives are able to build thriving careers instead of being forced out of the industry due to financial necessity.
