My disability from multiple sclerosis is one of my greatest strengths. Also an asset? My family roots. The daughter of a Jamaican immigrant, I grew up in a small home in the Bronx with nine other people. Yet another power source is my education: I earned a degree from Stanford Law, and a certificate in TV writing from UCLA Extension.
I’ve been a model, college athlete, reporter, prosecutor, tech lawyer, TV exec, and a clerk to a federal appellate judge. Defended white collar criminals for a lot of money, and political asylum seekers for free. Led legal clinics in Africa, and marched with penguins in Antarctica. I weave my life in every script I write, and share my personal tales in each story I tell.
