Katherine Craft (she/her) is an Austin, Texas, filmmaker and educator with low vision who always walks very fast, even though she rarely knows where she’s going. She writes character-driven comedies and offbeat horror, mostly set in Texas, that explore complex social issues with laughs, blood and guts, car chases, and explosions.

Before becoming a screenwriter, she founded Conspire Theatre, a nonprofit that used theatre to work with women during and after incarceration.

She wrote and directed the Audible Original "Shaky," a nine-episode comedy series, set to be released in 2025. Her co-written heist feature script Skrrrt!, with Gabriela Garcia Medina, was awarded the Athena List Disney Development Grant. She was a staff writer on Best Foot Forward on Apple TV+ and created the Snap Original series Kappa Crypto.

She is an assistant professor practice at the University of Texas at Austin and is represented by Ava Jamshidi of Industry Entertainment.
